For the spooky season, we like to do a lot of programs in our children’s department. I was terrible at taking photos for the ones I did alone, but my coworkers Z & J put on this wonderful program (I oversaw it since I’m the lone librarian at the branch) and we got some goodContinue reading “Tween Craft: Ghastly Glowing Lanterns”

Storytime: Halloween!
Each year, C and I do a special Halloween storytime at our branch that ends in a trick or treat parade through the library. Storytime: Fall!
The days are already getting shorter and the sun is rising later and setting earlier. Fall is coming and it’s my favorite time of year! Comfy sweater weather, spiced coffees and baked goods are everywhere, the world is crisp and oh-so-colorful, and you can literally smell Fall. And, of course, it makes for a funContinue reading “Storytime: Fall!”
